Welcome to the blog at Countryside Care Centre. It is through this blog that we will provide information about senior health care issues and lifestyles. With an ever increasing senior population in the U.S., more is being done to advance the quality of lives of our older citizens. Countryside Care Centre not only offers specialized care in a multitude of areas, but it also adheres to the philosophy of providing personalized care that is unique to the individual. The goal is to always make the community feel like home, whether you are a short-term rehab patient or a long-term nursing care resident. Through this open forum, we will be diuscussing such topics as Alzheimer's disease and dementia care, hospice, bariatric management and respiratory therapy as well as several areas of rehabilitation. The objective is to provide general information of these topics for people seeking information and provide an arena for those to share their experiences. We will also highlight the roles of caregivers for each of these situations. We are always looking for feedback from caregivers, be they professional nurses, doctors or family members caring for a loved one. By creating an open dialogue, we hope to provide a wide array of experiences and stories to help you in your search for information, support and answers. Since May is Older Americans Month, it seems appropriate that the first blog will promote some national and state organized events being held in celebration. There will also be information on the many benefits programs offered to senior Americans. If there are events you are aware of or need information for, please respond on the blog site. We are looking forward to everyone's input. blog comments powered by Disqus |
