The Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) recognizes small employers who operate an exemplary safety and health management system. Acceptance into SHARP by OSHA is an achievement of status that designates your place of business as a model for worksite safety and health.

Countryside Care Centre went through rigorous testing and surveys by OSHA to determine and validate their acceptance into SHARP.  Only 8 health care facilities are accredited with this designation in the State of Illinois and Countryside is among these elite.  Only 23 businesses overall in Illinois have achieved this status.

Employees have received additional training in areas such as biohazardous waste management, proper lifting techniques, prevention of needle sticks, lock out /tag out procedures, and other safety management areas.  Residents and staff alike should feel very comfortable in the knowledge that Countryside employees have trained and practice safe techniques for their own benefit and the benefit of all of the residents.
