Governor Quinn Appoints Kim Kohls to Board

Administrator, Kim KohlsAurora, IL - Countryside Care Centre is proud to announce that Administrator, Kim Kohls, has been appointed to the Nursing Home Administrators Licensing and Disciplinary Board.  The appointment was made by Governor Quinn and became effective September 24th.  The Board is comprised of 7 members, 5 of which are nursing home administrators, and is charged with providing expert knowledge and advice in such areas as disciplinary matters and the professional performance and conduct of their peers.  Nursing home administrators are directly responsible for the entire operation of their community. To be considered for this appointment, the administrator must have an exemplary work record and be considered an expert as well as a leader in the nursing home industry. 
     Kim has been a licensed Nursing Home Administrator for over 27 years, with the last 13 at Countryside Care Centre.  She received her B.S. in Business from Carroll University and then went on to earn a Master's Degree in Public Health from Benedictine University.  She is also a Certified Healthcare Safety Professional and has previously served on the Occupational Safety and Health Administration Task Force to help reduce injuries in nursing home residents and employees.
