Earl’s Story
The situation: Suffering from cellulitis and gangrene, Earl required amputation of his second and third toes. Initially, post-surgical wound care produced only limited results.
The challenge: Arrest progress of the infection. Provide ongoing complex wound care, Rehabilitation and management of the disease process.
The outcome: Progressive healing over a seven week period. Renewed independence and a return home.
Marcia’s Story
The situation: Marcia, a middle-aged housewife, received second and third degree burns on her neck and chest in a cooking accident.
The challenge: Provide wound care and short-term rehabilitation, while also addressing several clinical issues that could potentially impede the healing process.
The outcome: Steady improvement and discharge to home in less than a month. Able to resume all activities of daily living.
