Pongo is a 2 year old Poodle and Bischon mix.  He starting coming to Countryside when he was only 8 weeks old and has been coming to "work" every since.  Pongo comes to work every day with his owner and handler, Lynn Blackburn, the Assistant Administrator.  Once they enter the building in the morining, Pongo goes off to work to greet all of the residents and say hello to everyone.  Residents wait for his arrival every morning.  Pongo is met with a lot of cuddles, lap holding, petting and even a few treats.  Pongo knows his way around this 2-story building and can even be seen riding the elevator on his own! He stays with some of the residents when they go out to the patio and has been known to be an efficient therapy-assistant during some difficult therapy and exercise sessions. The only time Pongo goes on break is when he senses it is lunchtime and then goes to the employee breakroom for a little more pampering.... and a few more treats!
